AKIDAH
DEFINITION OF CREED
Hasan al Banna said that aka'id (plural form of the creed) means some things that must be believed by heart, bring peace of soul, into the belief that does not mix with the slightest hesitation.
Abu Bakr Jabir al Jazairy say the creed is a truth that can be generally accepted by humans based on reason, revelation, and nature. Truth dipatrikan by humans in the liver and is believed keshahihannya and existence is uncertain, and denied everything that is contrary to the truth.
(Prof. Dr. H.M. Amin Syukur, MA, Pengantar Studi Islam, (Semarang: Pustaka Nuun, 2010) hlm 35-36)
TAWHID AND FAITH AND DALIL2NYA
Faith n monotheism: DR.H. Musa Sueb, M.A, Kekuasaan Manusia dan Takdir Tuhan, (Jakarta: Pedoman Ilmu Jaya, 2004) hlmn. 85
Creed is usually equated with the term faith, which is "something that is believed to be in the heart, pronounced with oral, and be carried out by members of the body. 'Aqeedah Tawheed is also associated with the term, namely the Oneness of Allah (tauhidullah).
Tawhid: (Prof. Dr. H.M. Amin Syukur, MA, Pengantar Studi Islam, (Semarang: Pustaka Nuun, 2010) hlm 37)
Formulation of monotheism affirmed by God in the Qur'an:
QS. Al ikhlas 1-4
Tawhid means recognizing certain that God is one in Essence, nature, and deeds, and to whom we worship.
Faith: (Prof. Dr. H.M. Amin Syukur, MA, Pengantar Studi Islam, (Semarang: Pustaka Nuun, 2010) hlm 35-36)
The word of faith drawn from the word meaning amn security or peace. In terms of language, faith then defined as "justification to myself," meaning inin then extends and is considered to be the essence of faith, namely: ......................... ........ (justification by heart, words with the tongue and the practice of the limbs) to what is conveyed by the Prophet Muhammad.
THE SOURCE OF AQEEDAH (CREED SOURCE POSITION)
Aqeedah is tauqifiyah. That is, can not be determined unless the proposition syar'i, no ijtihad field and argued in dalam¬nya. That's why the sources are limited to what is in the Qur'an and Sunnah. For no one knows more about God, about what is required for Him and what must be purified from Him, but God himself. And no one after God knows more about God besides Shallallaahu Prophet alaihi wa Salam.
Although explanations about creed derived from the Qur'an and the Hadith, the Prophet Muhammad delivered, accepted people without debate it, does not mean at that time never showed problems creed among Muslims. Actually at that time already appeared several problems that must be faced around the creed of the Prophet Muhammad in his message. Here, the role of revelation as the source of a very large creed. Some verses of the Qur'an was revealed with the aim of clarifying certain issues.
THE USE OF STUDYING CREED
- Obtain the peace and happiness of the essentials of life because they have close inner relationship with God Almighty.
- Got a guarantee of heaven and saved from hell if truly committed to the Islamic Aqeedah perfectly.
- Obtain instructions right living according to the will of God, who has created the universe, including ourselves.
- Congratulations from the influence of other beliefs that will only bring destruction and life that is far from the truth.
- Do not be easily influenced by the luxury of living in the world as the ultimate life is the life in the hereafter.
THE SCOPE OF THE DISCUSSION CREED
According to Hasan al Banna there are four areas, namely:
- Ilahiyat: A discussion of all things related to the Deity (God, Allah) as a manifestation of God, God asthma, the properties that must exist in God, etc.
- nubuwwat: A discussion of all things related to the apostles of God, including the scriptures, miracles, etc.
- Ruhaniyat: A discussion of all things related to the world of spirits or metaphysical, such as angels, jinn, the devil, demons, spirits, etc.
- Sam'iyat: Discussion about everything that can be known only through sam'i (naqli proposition: the Qur'an and the Sunnah), as heaven-hell, nature Barzakh, hereafter, doom, etc.
Some scholars also indicate the scope of the discussion of the creed with arkanul faith (faith harmony) in the form:
- Faith in God.
- Faith in His angels.
- Faith in the holy books of his.
- Faith in His Messengers.
- Faith in the End.
- Faith in destiny God.
FACTORS THAT MAY LEACH VALUES MONOTHEISM:
- Humans too exalts the mind's ability, so that either directly or indirectly, have replaced God with their minds.
- Man is less use of reason so easily deceived by the forces of all (pseudofarces) that plunge into superstitions.
- Human exaggerate eternal life in the hereafter. Humans who will neglect human life hereafter is either directly or indirectly, have underestimated the Lord.
- Man too pursuit of material life so neglect the spiritual life. In fact, it contains the depth dimension of the spiritual life and closeness to God.
- Man has the ability to create new symbols and regard it as progress, so inattentive to the symbols pure monotheism (purification). For example, changes caused by the progress of science and technology is considered more powerful than the power of God's remembrance that role is slowly being replaced by science and technology.
Conversely, factors that reinforce the values of monotheism, including the following:
- Attitude is always updating creed so that the person concerned awake from acts that lead to shirk.
- Attitude is not easily affected by the rapidly changing situation and promises quick results (instant culture). Something that is rapidly changing will become obsolete sooner.
- Attitude engrossed in worship so as to form a solid personal and not easily tempted by the charm of earthly life.
- cautious attitude in worship and there is a sense of concern that the value of worship is still far from perfect.
- The attitude of trust that does not drown sense considerations that are not sunk into a fatalistic attitude. For example, the attitude of Umar when avoiding to pay a visit to a local infectious disease.
- Attitude realized his own weakness as a human being, especially the temptation lust, so always invoke the protection of God.
